The Marronnier Architecture Prize was established with the aim of raising awareness of town development that respects the beautiful landscapes cherished by the citizens of Tochigi Prefecture, and to promote architectural activities. Nakanishi’s new factory “M1” has been honored with both the “Tochigi Prefecture Marronnier Architecture Prize” and the “Environmentally Friendly Architecture Prize.” The building was highly praised for its refined exterior that harmonizes with the surrounding natural beauty, enhancing the overall landscape. It also received recognition for its thoughtfully designed and comfortable rest areas for employees, as well as its proactive efforts toward carbon neutrality, including the installation of solar power generation systems.
